Description


The commission may establish a reasonable fee to recover costs for review of a rehabilitation project on an income-producing property included in the National Register of Historic Places and review of a proposal for a historical marker, monument, or medallion.

No state marker, monument, or medallion may be altered, moved, covered, or removed without written permission from the commission. Violation includes a civil penalty between $50 and $1,000 per day. (Collected under revenue object 3717.)

The commission may set and collect fees for the administration of commission programs.

The commission may charge a fee up to $25 for an application to the Texas Freedman's Cemetery Designation Program.
