Department may hold a patent for invention; discovery of or improvement to any process, machine, manufacture or composition of matter, a copyright for original work of authorship, a trademark for a word, name, symbol, device or slogan or other evidence of protection issued in or for intellectual property. Department may enter into a contract for sale, lease, marketing or other distribution of intellectual property and obtain royalties, license rights or other compensation for developing or purchase of intellectual property of the Department.
