To record funds collected by as recovery payments of claims and penalties under accident and health insurance policies in amounts to cover the cost of services and used to pay costs of administering the medical assistance program.
In furnishing a person rehabilitation services, including medical care, the commission is subrogated to the person's right of recovery from: (1) insurance, (2) another person for personal injury caused by the other person's negligence or wrongdoing, (3) any other source. The right of subrogation is limited to the cost of services provided.
