A person may not engage in residential solar retails sales unless registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration. Solar retailers and solar salespersons (that do not work for a registered retailer) must submit a registration application and fee.
The fee is set by the department in an amount to cover program administration.
Administrative and civil penalties under Ch. 51, Subchapter F or G may be assessed (collected under revenue object 3770 and 3717).
