Description

Board shall establish reasonable and necessary fees to produce sufficient revenue to cover administration. Fees may be adjusted, but may not be set in amount less than amount of that fee on 9-1-93. Included are fees for:

(1) License (NTE $900)
(2) Annual Institutional Permit for Interns, Residents and Fellows (NTE $200)
(3) Duplicate License (NTE $200)
(4) Temporary License (NTE $200)
(5) Reciprocal Agreement (NTE $700)
(6) Complete Examination (NTE $700)
(7) Partial Examination (NTE $700)
(8) Issuance of endorsement to other medical boards (NTE $200)
(9) Reinstatement of License after lapse or cancellation (NTE $700)
(10) Processing and issue of a license or temporary license to a physician assistant (NTE $200)
(11) Processing and issue of a permit to a physician who supervises an acupuncturist (NTE $200)
(12) Board may collect $1 per license for the peer assistance program
(13) Processing application and issuing license for annual registration for anesthesia in outpatient setting (NTE $600)
(14) Physician-In-Training Permit (NTE $200)
(15) First Registration Permit (NTE $400)
(16) Registration Permit Renewal (NTE $400)

Board may charge fees for other administrative actions authorized by statute as necessary. Renewal of a registration permit expired 90 days or less-renewal fee + $50; over 90 days but less than 1 year-renewal fee + $150; over 1 year-cannot renew; must reapply. Initial license or registration fee increased by $5 and renewal by $1, effective September 1, 2003. Board may issue a limited license to limit practice to a specialty of medicine for which the license holder is trained and qualified for a fee prescribed by the Board.

* Board shall raise fees prescribed in amount NTE $20 for each FY in 2000/2001 and NTE $10 for each FY in 2002/2003. The Board shall reduce these fees not later than the 2nd anniversary of the date initial profiles made available to the public to cover costs in establishing a physician profile system.

** The Board shall collect fees from participants in the Texas Physician Health Program to cover administration (NTE $1,200 annually)
