Description

Fees charged each person practicing chiropractic in amounts set by the Board shall produce sufficient revenue to cover administration costs. Fees may be adjusted but may not be set for an amount less than the amount of that fee on September 1, 1993. Annual license, license examination and re-examination, out-of-state applicant fees include a $200 increase per H.B. 11, 72nd Leg., 1st C.S.  Included are fees for:
 (1)  Annual Registration
 (2)  Reciprocal license
 (3)  Examination Fee
 (4)  Re-examination Fee
 (5)  Verification of satisfaction of completion of the courses NTE $50
 (6)  Verification of licensing requirements
 (7)  Administration fee for removal of inactive status
 (8)  Out-of-state applicant
 (9)  Temporary faculty license and renewal fees set by the Board.

* To register a chiropractic facility, the owner must pay a registration fee set by the board NTE $75, renewable annually for the same amount.
 
** Initial license or renewal fee increased by $5 and renewal by $1, effective September 1, 2003.
 
Late fees:
     90 days or less - renewal fee equal to 1-1/2 annual renewal fee and required increase;
     91 days - 1 year, renewal fee equal to 2 times annual renewal fee and required increase;
     1 year - 3 years, renewal fee for each year expired plus additional fee equal to renewal
          fee multiplied by number of years expired (prorated for fractional years) and two times
          the renewal fee plus the required increase.
 
Board may impose administrative penalties up to $1,000 per day for violation of this Act (collected under Revenue Object 3770). Civil penalties are $1,000 per day (collected under Revenue Object 3717).
