Description
Licenses and registration required for employers and owners of an alarm systems company, installer, manager or security salesperson. License, registration and renewal fees set by department. License and registration renewal: 90 days or less, renewal fee equal to 1-1/2 times normal renewal fee; 91 days - 1 year, renewal fee equal to 2 times normal renewal fee; over 1 year -- may not renew, must reapply. Renewal of expired license by out-of-state practitioner equal to 2 times normal fee. Civil penalties up to $5,000 a day (collected under Revenue Object 3717). Administrative penalties between $50 and $5,000 for each violation (collected under Revenue Object 3770).
Due Date
License expires every 2 years. Department may establish staggered renewal.
