Created in 1988 by S.B. 1249, 70th Leg. under TEX. HUM. RES. CODE ANN. § 81.019. Commission for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing shall design and issue a symbol or other device that may be attached to a motor vehicle regularly operated by a hearing impaired person and may set a fee, not to exceed $2 for each device, to defray costs of administering this section. Inactivated in 2008 for non-utilization.
