Created 1981 by S.B. 476, 67th Leg., R.S. under Occupations Code 2152.054. License for certain circus', carnivals or zoos. DSHS adopts standards for operation of the circus, carnival or zoo to promote humane conditions for animals and protect public health and safety. DSHS sets amount and type of each fee, including application, license, inspection fees, etc. Codified by H.B. 3155, 76th Leg., R.S. Transferred to Agency 537 by H.B. 2292, 78th Leg., R.S. Inactivated due to non-use fiscal 2014.
