Created in 1989 in TEX. INS. CODE ANN. art. 5.76-2 § 5.01 by S.B. 1, 71st Leg., 2nd C.S. which required the Texas Department of Insurance to establish a voluntary market assistance program to monitor the operation of the Workers' Compensation Fund. An agent could pay a fee as established by the program to the Department to conduct a market search. Legal cite changed to art. 21.49-12 and fee deleted in 1999.
