Description
The Department of Licensing and Regulation may charge fees for registration of motor fuel metering devices used for commercial transactions and penalty fees for late renewal of motor fuel metering devices up to $50 per device and $500 per year. (2310.103).
Violations related to the department's inspection for the presence of gas pump credit card skimmers are subject to a civil penalty up to $5,000 per day (collected under revenue object 3717).
Providers of equipment used to dispense energy to an electric vehicle are required to register each charging unit before the equipment is made available for commercial transactions. Fees are set by TDLR in amounts to cover administration costs.
