Description
Fees, determined by the board, for processing and servicing land purchase applications, sale contracts, and purchase of veterans land, including:
- Fee for each application of an eligible veteran to purchase land.
- Fee for appraisal of each application of an eligible veteran to purchase land.
- Fee for each transfer of a contract of sale and purchase.
- Mineral lease service fee for each lease executed by purchasers.
- Fee for each reappraisal, when required by board.
- Fee for each loan of abstract.
- Servicing and filing fees for each easement.
- Service fee for each contract of sale and purchase.
- Fee for homesite, severance or paid-in-full deed.
- Fee for each title examination.
- Recording fees.
- Credit report preparation fee.
- Fees from each successful bidder for resale of forfeited land sufficient to pay for title exam, recording, and other resale expenses.
- Fee for preparation of legal instruments.
- Fees for legal research, general research, and other services.
The board may set and collect fees reasonable and necessary from each applicant for a Housing Assistance Loan.
Payments and repayments received from financial assistance to veterans' homes.

Item 1 fees are held in a local bank. Interest is deposited to General Revenue.
Note
Housing Assistance fees and Farm and Ranch Finance Program fees originally deposited to the Veterans' Housing Program Fee Fund Account (0561). Fees for items 2 through 15 were deposited to the General Land Office Special Fund Account (0052). Interest on item 1 fees was deposited to Fund 0052. Both funds abolished 8/31/95 per § 403.094, Government Code and deposited to General Revenue.
