Description


If compensation payment received from a probationer for transmittal to a crime victim and the victim cannot be located, probation department receiving payment deposits in an interest bearing account. If payment not claimed by victim before 5 years expire, Department deducts 5% collection fee plus interest earned and transmits the balance to the comptroller. The comptroller administers all claims for unclaimed restitution payments.

Within 121 days after the 5-year period.
