Description
Receipts originating as a result of agreements permitting use of state property not identified with other revenue codes such as: coin machine revenue, cafeteria or coffee shop space and like transactions not subject to Texas Facilities Commission action. A state owned building (office or parking) under control of the commission may be leased to private tenants for commercial, cultural, educational or recreational activities. The commission may furnish utilities and custodial services to a private tenant at cost.
Other rentals of state buildings will also be deposited under this object code include:
- The State Preservation Board may charge food service vendors a reasonable fee or percentage of gross or net sales to operate in Capitol. Board may establish, manage and operate gift/souvenir shops in Capitol and General Land Office Building. Board may collect a fee from news media representatives for rental of Capitol space. Board may collect a fee for public use of General Land Office building for special activities.
- The School for the Blind and Visually Impaired may lease available building space to a private provider for a daycare center for children of school employees, other agency employees and private customers.
- The Governor's Music, Film, TV and Multimedia Office shall supervise the use of a state building or grounds by a production company and determine a fee to be charged for each day of use.
- The General Land Office may lease portions of the Alamo Complex.
- The Texas Historical Commission may lease historic site facilities (pavilions, meeting rooms, RV pads) for special events or purposes. These are purposes not directly related to visitation of the historic site.
