Description
Reimbursements for supplies/ equipment/services from agencies whose funds are not in the treasury.
An agency may agree or contract with another agency to provide necessary and authorized services and resources such as technical services, including services of employees, materials, or equipment. Actual cost of rendering services, or nearest estimate of cost shall be reimbursed, except in service rendered in fields of national defense or disaster relief, or cooperative efforts proposed by Governor to promote economic development (Government Code Ch. 771).
Includes receipts from the Comptroller’s purchasing program for local governments. Program services include: extension of state contract prices to participating local governments when feasible; solicitation of bids on items desired by local governments; and providing information and technical assistance to local governments about the purchasing program. The Comptroller may charge participating local government the amount of actual costs in providing purchasing services and may adopt rules and procedures to administer the program (Local Government Code sec. 271.081 and 271.082).
The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) uses receipts of money from health centers and other facilities to pay for services provided by HHSC.
The Texas Department of Transportation may relocate a utility and shall require reimbursement of amounts expended plus interest within 5 years from the date of completion (Transportation Code 203.0921).
State Library and Archives Commission may recover costs for the management of local government records (Government Code sec. 441.182).
