Created September 1, 2001 by H.B. 2494, 77th Leg., R.S. under TEX. GOV'T CODE ANN. § 510.017, art. IX(b). Texas Department of Criminal Justice shall levy and collect an annual assessment from each compacting state to cover the cost of internal operations and activities of the commission, in an amount sufficient to cover the annual budget. The assessment shall be allocated based on a formula determined by the commission. Inactivated in 2008 due to non-utilization.
