Amended by H.B. 222, 72nd Leg., 1st C.S. to require board of trustees to be sunset reviewed, but not abolished, during the period in which state agencies are abolished effective 9-1-1993 and every 12th year after.
The Sunset Review provision for the system in the Texas Government Code, Title 8, Section 815.005 was repealed by Act 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 791, 56(1), effective 9-1-93.
Amended by H.B. 1675, 83rd Leg., R.S. to require board of trustees to be sunset reviewed, but not abolished, during the period in which state agencies are abolished effective 9-1-2017 and every 12th year after.
