Description
Fines for offenses designated as Parks and Wildlife Code misdemeanors or felonies. Fines may be for violations of:
- Any game, fishing, commercial fishing, sand, shell and gravel regulation.
- Texas Water Safety Act.
- State parks regulations.
Fines and penalties vary according to nature of the violation.
- Class C Misdemeanor , $25 - $500.
- Class B Misdemeanor, $200 - $2,000.
- Class A Misdemeanor, $500 - $4,000.
- State Jail Felony, $1,500 - $10,000.
- Felony, $2,000 - $10,000.
- Corporations pay amount fixed by the court up to $20,000 for a felony and up to $10,000 for a Class A or B misdemeanor.
Some violations may include a jail or prison term. For arrest fees, see Revenue Code 3706.
