Additionally, late fees are payable under limited circumstances when not associated with payments subject to the Prompt Payment Law (TEX. GOV'T CODE ANN. Chapter 2251).

Note

Prior to September 1, 2009, this code was used to record payments made to the Teacher Retirement System for state-paid retired employee contributions required by TEX. GOV'T CODE ANN. § 825.4092.

This code does NOT include:

  • Prompt Payment Law interest (7806)
  • Fees for receiving electronic payments (7219)
  • Filing Fees for documents (7222)
  • Fees related to court costs or witnesses (7220, 7223, 7224, 7254)

Subscription fees and convenience fee payments are regularly made to the TexasOnline vendor for services provided to receive electronic payments through the internet, but are charged to comptroller object 7219 as are all fees relating to receiving revenues electronically.
