Description


To record expenditures made by the Department of Health and its successor agencies to private, non-profit hospitals from Medicaid Disproportionate Share Program. Payments include state and federal funds.

RESTRICTED: This code may be used only by the Health and Human Services Commission, Agency 529, and the Department of State Health Services, Agency 537. This program was transferred from the Department of Human Services to the Department of Health, effective September 1, 1993, by H.B. 7, 72nd Leg., 1st C.S. The Department of Health was abolished September 1, 2004 under the health and human services consolidation plan adopted as a result of H.B. 2292, 78th Leg., R.S.
