Purpose
Established outside the General Revenue Fund to receive Texas’ share of federal money appropriated under various federal legislation related to the coronavirus pandemic. Federal legislation includes, but is not limited to:
- HR 6074: Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020 (Public Law 116-123)
- HR 6201: Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) (Public Law 116-127)
- HR 748: Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act (Public Law 116-136)
- HR 266: Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act (Public Law 116-139)
- HR 133: Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (Public Law 116-260)
- HR 1319: American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Public Law 117-2)
Amounts are to be used for purposes identified in the applicable legislation to provide aid in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
