Purpose


Established outside the General Revenue Fund to receive:

  • money transferred at the direction of the legislature
  • gifts and grants
  • transfers for lottery revenue
  • unclaimed prizes from 5025 GR Account -- Lottery
  • voluntary contributions (see revenue code 3740)
  • interest

Used to make grants to local communities to address veterans' needs, for administration of the fund and to analyze and investigate data received from the federal Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS).
