Purpose

Created outside of the state treasury, held by the comptroller and administered by the Health and Human Services Commission on behalf of Special Olympics Texas. Consists of donations made by people on registration of a motor vehicle. Money in the fund shall be disbursed at least monthly, without appropriation, to Special Olympics Texas to provide training and athletic competitions for persons with mental illness and intellectual disabilities.
