Created in 1993 by TEX. LAB. CODE ANN. § 204.122, S.B. 130, 73rd Leg., R.S. to receive a separate assessment levied on each employer of 0.1 percent of wages paid to be known as the employment training investment assessment.

H.B. 3088, 77th Leg., R.S. recreated the trust fund as a dedicated account in the General Revenue Fund effective August 27, 2001.
