Created in 1987 by TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. ANN. art. 5221f § 13A to compensate consumers with unsatisfied judgments or claims against a manufacturer, retailer, broker or installer of manufactured housing. Invested in same manner as funds of Employees Retirement System and income deposited to the fund. Fees not dedicated to the trust fund under initial funds consolidation bill, H.B. 3050, 74th Leg., R.S.
No longer utilized, inactivated in 2002. Formally repealed by H.B. 2019, 85th Leg., R.S., eff 9-1-17.
