Purpose


An account in General Revenue. Defendants convicted of a felony pay $185, defendants convicted of a Class A or B misdemeanor pay $147 and defendants convicted of a nonjailable misdemeanor pay $62. This account receives 0.5485% of total collections.

Receives a portion of the $137, $45, and $21 consolidated civil filing fees under Local Government Code sec. 133.151.

Appropriated to the Office of Court Administration to support a statewide electronic filing technology project for courts. Also provides grants to counties to implement components of the project.

Includes $30 filing fee under Government Code sec. 51.851.

Receives the portion of local filing fees, dedicated to county alternative dispute resolution programs, from counties that do not have such a program.
