Description


Specialty license plates designed in consultation with the Socorro Mission Restoration Effort for an additional $30 fee. Used by Texas Historical Commission in making grants for preservation and rehabilitation of the Socorro, San Elizario and Ysleta Missions.

H.B. 1347, 83rd Leg., R.S. added grants for San Elizario and Ysleta Missions.

H.B. 7, 83rd Leg., R.S. abolished specialty license plate accounts created under Transportation Code, Subchapter G and changed deposit of revenue from GR Account 5122 - El Paso Mission Restoration Plates to the License Plate Trust Fund (0802).

H.B. 2202, 83rd Leg., R.S. changed deposit of $8 administrative fee from State Highway Fund (0006) to new Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Fund. New fund was not exempted in funds consolidation bill (H.B. 6) and not created. Therefore, revenue amounts were deposited to General Revenue (0001).

S.B. 1512, 84th Leg., R.S. recreated the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Fund and it was exempted by H.B. 6, 84th Leg., R.S. Deposit of $8 changed from General Revenue to Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Fund (0010). Effective 9/1/16.
