Description


A person is required to hold a personal lines property and casualty license to act as an agent writing insurance sold to individuals and families for personal or household use or a subagent of a person holding a license who solicits and binds insurance risks for that agent. The department may charge a fee for an occupational provisional permit.



Due Date


Application and fee due before operating as agent; renewal 2 years from date of issue; fee due at time of application. Department may adopt staggered renewal system.
