Created 1911 by the 32nd Leg. Originally under TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. Art. 4469. Collected by Texas Department of Health (Agency 501) then, per H.B. 2292, 78th Leg., R.S. the Department of State Health Services (Agency 537).
Fee for each person, firm or corporation manufacturing or importing, from outside the United States, food and drug products. S.B. 288, 68th Leg., R.S. increased fee from $1 to $10. S.B. 59, 68th Leg., R.S. and H.B. 1732, 69th Leg., R.S. repealed Art. 4469. Fees for food and drug manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributers are in other subtitles under revenue code 3554. This subtitle inactivated as it is no longer applicable.
