The department may set and charge fees to persons who receive public health services from the department including, but not limited to distribution and administration of vaccines and sera under Education Code § 2.09, Human Resources Code § 42.043, Health and Safety Code Ch. 826 and Ch. 81.
The department may require contractors to charge fees for services provided by contractors participating in the department's programs. Provided the department finds monetary savings are greater than costs associated with administration, the department shall establish a fee schedule based on a person's financial ability to pay.
