To record the deposit of toll or other revenue from a department toll project. This revenue is derived from fees and charges, imposed by the department, for using the toll project. Revenue is used to finance improvements, extensions, expansions or operations of the state highway system or for other department purposes.

This revenue also includes payments received from a local toll project entity as reimbursement for the department’s costs to acquire right-of-way transferred to the local toll project entity for a toll project. Also includes the department’s share of the revenues of that project in lieu of reimbursement. Payments are used by the department to fund additional projects in the department district in which the toll project is located.
