Created 1993 by H.B. 1657, 73rd Leg., R.S. under Transportation Code 471.005. A person may not dismantle a warning signal at a grade crossing on an active rail line if the original cost was paid in part or entirely from public funds unless the person obtains a permit and pays to the governmental entity that maintains the road or highway that intersects the rail line at the grade crossing an amount equal to the present salvage value of the warning signal. Inactivated September 2014 as the agency had never used this revenue code. Authority transferred to revenue code 3062.
