The Manufactured Housing Board within the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs may set and charge fees for the regulation of mobile, HUD-code manufactured, and modular homes. These include inspection fees for home manufacture, installation and alteration. Also includes fees for home design approval. The board may charge fees for the inspection of a rebuilt/salvages manufactured home and the issuance of a seal for used homes. May also charge a fee to the manufacturer or retailer requesting a consumer complaint inspection.
The Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation sets fees for the regulation and inspection of industrialized housing.

H.B. 1606, 67th Leg., R.S. created the Residential Conservation Fund Account (No. 0135) and required fees collected under the federal Residential Conservation Service program be deposited to that account. Program was repealed by H.B. 863, 71st Leg., R.S. Account was abolished 8-31-95 per § 403.094, Government Code.
