Description
Fees are set by the Department. Current rates and further details may be found on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website. Types of registrations, certificates and license include:
- Certificate of number for Class A, 1, 2, and 3 vessels.
- Vessel livery.
- Marine dealer, distributor, and manufacturer licenses.
- Ownership transfer, location transfer, inspection, renewal and duplicate fees.
- Party boat operator license fees.
Due Date
Before selling, manufacturing or operating a vessel.

Deposit Funds
- GR Account - 0009 – Game, Fish, and Water Safety except 10% of the amount of the fee for each certificate retained by the County Tax Assessor-Collector as a collection fee.

H.B. 3442, 78th Leg., R.S. added § 11.032(c) providing that, not later than 10th of each month, the department transfer 15% of amounts collected during previous month from vessel and outboard motor titling fees to GR Account 0064 - State Parks. H.B. 448, 85th Leg., R.S. amended the transfer to a "not to exceed" amount.
