Originally created September, 1989 by S.B. 959, 71st Leg., R.S. under Health and Safety 85.064 and 85.163 to receive funds from private donations, hospital districts, local health departments, public or nonprofit hospitals and clinics and nonprofit community organizations that participate in the HIV medication program. Used for the purpose of assisting their clients in the purchase of HIV medications. Department of Health was the original administrator (501) and transferred to agency 537 by H.B. 2292, 78th Leg., R.S. Inactivated Oct. 2015 for agency non-use.
Re-activated and re-purposed September 1, 2018.
