Description
To record the rebates received by the state from drug manufacturing companies. Amounts are based on pharmaceutical sales of certain prescriptions in the CHIP Vendor Drug program. Also used to record experience rebates, which must be paid by STAR HMOs, which are a form of profit sharing. The rebate is calculated using a graduated method based on the excess of allowable revenues over allowable expenses based on pre-tax income.
