Person may retain contributions for 6 years after no longer an office-holder or candidate, pending future candidacy. If person does not become a candidate within 6-year period, must dispose of unexpended contributions by one of the methods provided in statute, including giving to the state. Contributions can only be appropriated to finance primary elections.
