To record the deposit of funds from a local fund outside the treasury into a fund inside the treasury or into a local operating fund within the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) for the payment of expenditures and payroll.
Local operating funds are established in USAS only to facilitate processing and reporting of expenditures, including payroll, through USAS and the Uniform Statewide Payroll System. The local operating funds in USAS are legally held outside the treasury. This entry should be reclassed at year end as a transfer In for financial reporting purposes.
