Created September 1, 1999 by H.B. 826, 76th Leg., R.S. under TEX. GOV'T CODE ANN. § 2260.103. The chief administrative law judge may set a fee for a hearing in an amount NLT $250 which allows the State Office of Administrative Hearings to recover costs. The office by rule may establish a graduated fee scale and may assess the fee against the party who does not prevail in the hearing or apportion the fee against the parties in an equitable manner. Inactivated in 2008 for non-utilization. Reissued 10-1-11.
