Description


Persons convicted of certain offenses under the Penal Code pay in addition to all other costs, court costs for special services as follows:

  • A defendant convicted of a felony -- $133.
  • A defendant convicted of a class A or B misdemeanor -- $83.
  • Conviction of a nonjailable misdemeanor -- $40.

GR Account -- Comprehensive Rehabilitation received 9.8218% of total fees collected.



Due Date


Upon conviction at the same time as other fines and costs.

Deposited by Comptroller when received from custodian of municipal or county treasury who is required to remit not later than the last day of the month following each calendar quarter.

Previously collected under 3713 Fee From Misdemeanor or Felony Cases (GR Acct 0107). It was closed and moved under 3704 Court Cost.

S.B. 2053, 85th Leg., R.S. abolished this allocation.
